Contacts
A contact is a person at a customer: the one you speak to, send quotations and invoices to, and follow up with. Every contact belongs to an account.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”Select Contacts in the sidebar. The list shows the people your role allows you to see. Select a name to open the contact and see their account, their quotations, activities and history.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”- Create a contact under an account.
- Read and update a contact, including their marketing consent.
- Check for duplicates before you add someone.
- Contact — a person connected to an account.
- Contact Owner — the colleague responsible for the contact.
- Mailing address — the address you use for this person.
- Consent — whether the person has opted out of marketing email or calls.
Common misunderstandings
Section titled “Common misunderstandings”- A contact is not the customer itself; the account is.
- Several people at one company do not need several accounts. Add each one as a contact.
- A user who signs in to easySales is not a contact.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”You need Contact List and View to see and open contacts, Add and Edit to create and change them, and Delete to deactivate one. A role set to Own records only sees the contacts it owns.
