Quotation PDF
To send a quotation to a customer, preview its PDF and save or print it from your browser. Check the quotation’s contact, terms, lines and totals first.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You need Quote View to open the quotation and Quote Add for Preview to appear. The quotation must be worth more than zero in your main currency.
- Open the quotation.
- Check the customer, Quotation ref, terms, lines and Grand total.
- Select Preview at the top of the page. The PDF opens in a new browser tab.
- Save or print it from the browser, then send it to the customer yourself.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Nothing on the quotation changes, and you can preview it as often as you like. The PDF shows what is saved: Preview is hidden while you are editing. An accepted or rejected quotation still prints.
Your company’s active quotation design sets the layout, and the active letterhead adds your logo, company details and footer.
Rules to know
Section titled “Rules to know”- The printed Sales Person and Date are who created the quotation and when — not the Salesperson field and not the expiry date.
- Amounts print in the quotation’s currency.
- The customer’s address prints only when the account’s billing Street is filled in. If the printed address looks short, complete the account’s billing address.
- The PDF uses the customer and company details saved at the moment you preview it.
