Accounts
An account is a customer — a company or a person. Start every piece of customer work here: the people you deal with, the quotations and invoices you send, and the money you receive all belong to an account.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”Select Accounts in the sidebar. The list shows the accounts your role allows you to see. Select an account name to open it; the account page brings together its contacts, documents, activities, receivables and history.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”- Create an account — Business for a company, Personal for an individual.
- Read an account and everything filed under it.
- Edit, merge or deactivate an account.
- Change the owner when responsibility for the customer moves.
- Add the people you deal with as contacts.
- Business — an account for a company or organisation, with any number of contacts.
- Personal — an account for an individual; the person is also its one contact.
- Account Owner — the colleague responsible for the customer.
- Customer code — a number easySales gives each customer, starting
C-. - Customer / Supplier — the role the account plays for you. Only customers can be chosen on quotations and invoices.
Common misunderstandings
Section titled “Common misunderstandings”- An account is not a login. People who sign in to easySales are users.
- Do not create a Business account for each person at one company. Add them as contacts.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”You need Account List and View to see and open accounts, Add and Edit to create and change them, and Delete to deactivate one. A role set to Own records only sees the accounts it owns and those whose account team it is on.
