Revise a quotation

While the customer is still considering your quotation, you can change it. Revise it while its status is Open.

Before you start

You need Quote View and Edit. An Accepted or Rejected quotation cannot be edited.

Steps

Section titled “Steps”
  1. Open the quotation.
  2. Select Edit in the ··· menu, or Edit quotation on a card.
  3. Change the Contact, Quotation name, terms, Opportunity, lines or notes.
  4. Check the totals.
  5. Select Save changes.

What happens next

The quotation keeps its Quotation ref and stays Open. The next PDF you preview shows the changes. If you clear the Quotation name, it goes back to the quotation number.

Rules to know

  • The salesperson is not changed here. Use Change Owner in the ··· menu.
  • An invoice already raised from the quotation does not change when you revise it.
  • Once the customer decides, accept or reject the quotation; after that it cannot be edited.
